How search results are ordered

Search matches your text against public content. There is no personalised relevance scoring or paid promotion in the results. Each category shows at most 48 results.

Public personal and artist profiles are found by name or handle and ordered alphabetically by display name, then by stable identity ID. Private profiles are not shown.

Albums are found by album title, album artist, artist name or an available track title. They are ordered by album publication time, newest first, then by album ID.

Events are found by title, venue, city or public line-up names. Upcoming public events are ordered by starting time, earliest first, then by event ID.

The Following feed has no hidden recommendation or advertising ranking. Without your own priorities it follows recency. You can mark followed profiles as important, normal or less important. Sorting uses real post age multiplied by 0.5 / 1.0 / 2.0, with no time limit. Ties use the truly newer post, then the higher activity ID. Your own posts are normal. Displayed times remain real. This private setting affects only your feed, not search, activities or emails.
